Bill Ackerbauer: music, etc.
Smokin' Bill Ackerbauer performs an eclectic repertoire of acoustic roots music, both as a solo performer and with bands such as The Insolent Willies and The Doghouse Carpenters. His original songs reflect the many walks of life in his native region, which spans New York's Mohawk Valley and Adirondack Foothills. A roots-music enthusiast who draws on the rich influences of traditional folk, vintage rock n' roll, pre-war country blues, old-timey mountain ballads and lowdown jug-band hokum, Bill accompanies himself on acoustic guitar, harmonica, banjo, fiddle, mandolin and other instruments. Bill's first solo album, Discovery, is available at shows and online at https://smokinbill.bandcamp.com/
