Bill Ackerbauer: music, etc.
Bill Ackerbauer performs an eclectic repertoire of acoustic roots music, both as a solo performer and with his bands, The Insolent Willies and The Doghouse Carpenters. His original songs reflect the many walks of life in his native region, which spans New York's Mohawk Valley and Adirondack Foothills.
A roots-music enthusiast who draws on the rich influences of traditional folk, vintage rock n' roll, pre-war country blues, old-timey mountain ballads and lowdown jug-band hokum, Bill accompanies himself on acoustic guitar, harmonica, banjo, fiddle, mandolin and other instruments. Bill has released two solo albums -- "Discovery," an EP of original songs, and "Chicken Milk & Other Mysteries," a full-length album of original and traditional tunes for "kids of all ages." Find them at https://smokinbill.bandcamp.com/
Bill also enjoys performing for kids and families at schools, libraries and other all-ages venues. (Be sure to check out "Chicken Milk!")
