This summer, I have been lucky enough to perform in a number of new places around the state. It's always fun to travel to a town I've never visited before, meet some of the locals, and play some tunes for them. Here's some footage from my performance Saturday, 7/28/18, at the Hudson Farmers Market. I hope to return next summer!

I love me some John Fogerty. I recently worked up an arrangement of an old country song called "You're the Reason," which Mr. Fogerty covered on his Blue Ridge Rangers solo album. Here's a bit of it ...
It's been hotter 'n hell in upstate New York this week. I decided to check out the acoustics in the middle of Hale Creek, which runs through my backyard. This is an old gospel-blues tune called "In My Time of Dying" or "Jesus is a Dying Bed Maker." Perhaps I'll play it this Saturday down in Cooperstown, where I'll be playing at the farmers market in the morning and at Red Shed Brewery in the evening with The Insolent Willies. Hopefully it won't be so hot then, and I'll be able to keep my shirt on. |
